- Chase Area: Central Kansas
- Amos Magliocco, Rob Hall, and I left the
night before and stayed in Russell, Kansas. The next day didn't look as good with
the typical boundary-layer moisture problems after the passage of a strong surface high.
We drifted eastward ahead of the dryline and began to see large towers erupting
along the west-to-east outflow boundary to our north.

- Photogenic Storm
- We observed an elevated supercell with
occasional wallclouds which got undercut each time as expected with such high LCL's.
We did observe two funnels that lasted several minutes, one cyclonic and one
anticyclonic. Time-lapse of this event was pretty spectacular. We watched to
our west as the storm eventually dissipated at sunset.
